CHARLES S. TRAMMELL, JR., President
Mr. Trammell founded RCA in 1982. Mr. Trammell’s responsibilities include overseeing the operations, growth, expansion, and performance of RCA-managed communities, including Kirby Pines and The Farms at Bailey Station. Previously under Mr. Trammell’s leadership, RCA served as developer, marketer and manager of Carpenters Homes Estates in Lakeland, Florida; as a designer and consultant for Devonshire Estates in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; and in consulting capacities for other retirement communities through the country. Early in his career, Mr. Trammell started his own residential home building firm. He later served as a broker and market trader in the securities industry for J.C. Bradford and as the President of Pancho’s Mexican Foods, where he oversaw 14 individual restaurants and fast-food locations. Mr. Trammell has been involved in local, state, and national political campaigns. He served as President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, President of Retirement Housing Council of Florida and as an officer and board member of numerous organizations. He currently serves as a trustee of Mars Hill University, and he will be receiving an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters Degree from Mars Hill University in May of 2024.
MICHELLE TRAMMELL-VINCENT, Executive Vice President
Mrs. Vincent joined RCA in 2001. She is the daughter of Charles S. Trammell, Jr. Mrs. Vincent’s responsibilities include overseeing and implementing the development, sales, marketing and management of The Farms at Bailey Station and Kirby Pines. Mrs. Vincent began her career as the Director of Marketing for Ambulatory Management Services, a surgery center development and management firm. While at AMS, she became a licensed securities representative for Investco Securities, Inc. She joined OrthoLink Physicians Corporation, an orthopedic practice management firm, as Vice President of Marketing and Ancillary Development. During her tenure, Mrs. Vincent served as the Interim Chief Executive/Administrator of Steadman-Hawkins Clinic, a world-renowned orthopedic practice in Denver and Vail, Colorado. She joined RCA in 2001 as the Executive Director of the community with responsibility for the daily operation of the community. In 2002, Mrs. Vincent founded The Securities Group, LLC (“TSG”), a privately held broker/dealer firm specializing in private placement offerings in healthcare and real estate ventures. TSG completed over 400 syndications and was registered in 44 states. Mrs. Vincent, a licensed securities Principal, served as the President and Chief Compliance Officer for the firm until it sold in 2022. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration Degree in Management from the University of Memphis.
TIMOTHY W. COX, Senior Vice President of Finance
Mr. Cox joined RCA in 2005. His responsibilities include accounting and finance, budgeting and planning, bondholder quarterly reporting and oversight of the annual audit. He began his career as a certified public accountant and was promoted to audit manager with Arthur Andersen & Company. Mr. Cox worked for the meat group of Sara Lee Corporation as the Group Vice President of financial planning and analysis. Mr. Cox worked as a consultant where he served as the acting controller with a large real estate firm and as acting DPC for a nonprofit nursing home. He later assumed positions as controller of several privately held companies. He has been involved with the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Memphis for 30 years, including serving as President, Vice President, and Treasurer. Mr. Cox graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
MICHAEL KELLY, Vice President of Finance
Mr. Kelly joined RCA in 2021. His responsibilities include accounting and finance, budgeting, and planning and completion of the annual audits. Mr. Kelly began his career in public accounting and later transitioned into tax and corporate accounting where he worked for Guardsmark, LLC and Federal Express. Mr. Kelly earned his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance from Southern Methodist University and a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Memphis. He is actively licensed as an attorney and a certified public accountant in Tennessee.
MICHAEL BROWN, Executive Director
Mr. Brown began his tenure as Executive Director of Kirby Pines in 2023. He is responsible for the daily operations and management campus wide and brings 25 years of senior leadership experience in leading the financial and operational aspects of senior living communities. Prior to joining Kirby Pines, Michael held leadership roles in New York, North Carolina, and Florida, including 17 consecutive years with Atria Senior Living. His most recent endeavors in Florida included the groundbreaking of a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Lake Worth, FL, and the repositioning of an existing LifeCare community in Tampa, FL. Brown’s prior experience includes administrator positions with freestanding psychiatric hospitals and serving for fourteen years in the United States Air Force. Brown received a Bachelor of Science in Forensics from Indiana University, as well as a Master of Arts from Butler University.
TAMMY BRIMHALL, Director of Accounting
Mrs. Brimhall joined Kirby Pines in 2024. Her responsibilities include accounting and finance, accounts payable and receivable, billing and preparation of various annual audit reports. Mrs. Brimhall brings 17 years of experience to Kirby Pines, serving in similar roles with Stanley Access Technologies, John Michael Bailey Injury Lawyers, Coilmaster Corporation, Contractors Inc., and Hickory Senior Living Management. Mrs. Brimhall holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Christian Brothers University.
ANNETTE MARLAR, Director of Medical Services and Dementia Comfort Specialist
Ms. Marlar joined Kirby Pines in 1984. Her responsibilities include overseeing all medical services for Kirby Pines. After graduation from Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, she oversaw classroom and clinical instruction at the teaching hospital. Ms. Marlar served as the Director of Nursing Services at Cedar Crest Hospital in Humboldt, Tennessee. She remains active in Sigma Theta Tau International, an honor society dedicated to the nursing profession. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management from Crichton College and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. Since 1998, Ms. Marlar has been a part of the State of Tennessee Board of Licensing Healthcare Facilities. She is a member of the American Nurses Association; the Tennessee Nurses Association; the National Gerontological Association; the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants; and the Society of Human Resource Managers.
RCA is unique in that those chosen to serve on the board either live at one of RCA’s properties or have parents who do. They truly have a pulse on the communities and are involved in day-to-day operations. Their service is very personal, and they hold their responsibility close to their heart.
